Senior IT Manager
Hybrid / San Francisco, CA or Redwood City, CA
We are looking for a Senior Manager of IT to lead and scale our IT operations during a period of rapid growth. Reporting to senior leadership, this role is responsible for driving strategic initiatives that ensure our technology infrastructure aligns with business goals, enhances operational efficiency, and supports innovation across the organization. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership skills, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven culture within the IT team.
Main Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Technical IT support professionals, ensuring high levels of performance, morale, and professional growth.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution guidance.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement continuous process improvements to enhance support operations and reduce incident rates.
- Technology & Innovation Adoption: Define the vision for technology adoption and oversee major innovation projects, securing funding and resources. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology, automation, and process improvements.
- IT Operations & Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and cloud-based services. Manage IT incidents, problem resolution, and service desk operations using Zendesk, Jira Service Management and Confluence. Supervise onsite IT support of our offices located in San Francisco, Redwood City and New York.
- Project & Change Management: Approve and oversee major IT projects and technology implementations. Ensure smooth execution of technology rollouts with minimal business disruption, focusing on resource utilization.
- Communications & Documentation: Develop communication and documentation strategies, ensuring organizational standards. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align IT initiatives with business needs and enhance employee productivity.
- Financial & Vendor Management: Develop and oversee the IT financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure approval. Manage vendor relationships, including procurement of IT assets and services, ensuring cost-effective contracts and partnerships. Implement robust tracking systems for software licenses and cloud-based solutions, ensuring efficient cost management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and operations management.
- Demonstrated experience with account provisioning and identity management systems (e.g., Google Workspace, Okta,, AWS, etc.).
- Experience managing A/V systems (Zoom, conference room tech, digital signage)
- Gen AI tooling experience: OpenAI, ChatGPT, Anthropic, Gemini,
- MDM & Device Management with Jamf.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven budget management and vendor negotiation experience.
- Manage and control user access to Wi-Fi office networks with Cisco Meraki.
The salary range for this position based in the San Francisco Bay Area is $180,000.00 - $220,000.00. All offers include equity compensation in the form of employee stock options.
