About Snorkel AI
2024 will be the year that flashy LLM demos move to actual production applications that improve business outcomes. This is more challenging than many had originally thought.
Snorkel offers an AI data development platform called Snorkel Flow that lets enterprises like Wayfair, Wells Fargo and BNY Mellon dramatically improve time to production and quality of AI results.
We are in it to win it. This team is made up of world class players who are committed to making Snorkel AI an icon of technology. We are growing fast and looking for people who want to work hard, have fun and define the future of AI.
About the Role
In this highly collaborative role, you will manage the communications rhythm of the business, working with a diverse set of stakeholders to help drive alignment around our storytelling efforts. You will be directly responsible for program management and reporting across media, influencer and industry analyst relations.
What You’ll Do
Media relations:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the executive team, product and marketing teams to develop compelling narratives and work with our PR agency partners to secure coverage. This is a very fast moving and chatty space - coverage inclusion is critical.
- Maintain a steady drumbeat of news from customer, partner and product momentum.
- Develop a regular reporting cadence to measure program effectiveness and efficiency.
- Draft high-volume of well-written and strategic external materials (press releases, media pitches, speaking abstracts, and award submissions)
Analyst relations:
- Work closely with key spokespeople to develop strategic relationships at Gartner. Our product and research teams are extremely capable spokespeople, so this program will be about repetition, execution and scale - less so about developing analyst narratives and more about keeping Snorkel front and center with influential analysts.
- Support marketing efforts with other analyst firms as needed to produce content and ensure competitive positioning in any vendor comparison reports as analysts initiate that type of coverage in AI (Waves, etc.)
Agency management:
- Agencies are a critical part of our marketing team. Strong relationships with the agencies are the only way for us to scale our impact. This person will be responsible for ensuring PR and social agencies have access to the people and information they need to be successful in their work.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Understand and document what matters. Not every article, not every publication, not every conversation. We are focused on quality over quantity and need a leader who can identify and capture the needle mover opportunities. Develop a set of objectives and KPIs that help the company understand where our communications program is strong and where we all need to lean in.
Requirements:
- Ability to be in our Redwood City office at least 3 days a week.
- A minimum of 10+ years of communications B2B enterprise software experience crossing both agency and in-house.
- Established relationships and references from media and influencers who cover enterprise software (preferably in data or BI)
- Experience managing Gartner relationships with proven ability to maintain regular briefing cadence.
- Experience managing an agency.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams like product marketing, product, and engineering.
- Demonstrated experience (with examples) executing well-written and strategic communications (e.g. press releases, media pitches, Op-Eds, speaking abstracts, and award submissions).
- Strong writer and editor with experience translating complex, sophisticated, and technical concepts into compelling stories that resonate with practitioner audience and buyers in the C-suite.
- Self-motivated, creative, and curious approach to storytelling
- Excellent time management skills; knowing when to say yes and when to say no.
