Scale is at the forefront of enabling AI across multiple industries. As a Technical Program Manager, you will take on some of the boldest and most challenging AI use cases and turn them into business lines that drive the company’s top-line growth. This will generally involve delivering results for strategic customers or solving novel challenges to move key company metrics.

The role involves a combination of roll-up-your-sleeves operations, engineering, and product management. You will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying new systems, processes, tools, and products so that our delivery can scale from initial prototypes to fully-ramped production. The ideal candidate has a strong entrepreneurial mindset and is comfortable leading a team and working with them under ambiguity, and owning “must win” outcomes.

You will:

  • Lead projects with diverse cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Engineering, Sales) to execute successfully against all deliverables and milestones

  • Manage diverse internal Scale and external customer stakeholders and leaders to ensure project goals are clear and delivery unblocked at all times

  • Develop new systems, processes, workflows, and products and/or enhance existing ones to fulfill the needs of strategic customers and their initiatives

  • Own the execution of our data labeling operations for strategic projects

  • Work on some of the most impactful problems at the company

Ideally, you’d have:

  • Strong technical background (a degree in engineering computer science or equivalent experience) - the role will involve some coding, and you should be prepared for that

  • 3+ years of experience leading a team and owning deliverables/outcomes

  • Excited to do intense, high impact work (you should be prepared to work long weeks when necessary)

  • Experience working on operational problems (or a desire to do so)

  • Ability to solve difficult problems in high-stakes environments. This will usually involve getting into the weeds to ensure the success of “must win” projects

  • Entrepreneurial experience and mindset - you are excited about building things from scratch

The base salary range for this full-time position in our hub locations of San Francisco, New York, or Seattle, is $140,800 – $168,960.
