We are seeking a System Software Engineer to work on graphics products. Our charter is to build the most stable cloud gaming experience and ensure optimal performance per watt. The best candidates will have strong C++ programming skills, thorough knowledge of graphics concepts and algorithms, a solid foundation of systems software with emphasis on game engines and graphics driver profiling, and a good understanding of current generation graphics hardware architecture. Excellent interpersonal skills and a dedication to meticulous engineering practices are a requirement. As a system software engineer, you will extensively use your knowledge of game engines, graphics concepts, operating systems, algorithms, and computer architecture to provide robust and efficient solutions to develop and maintain graphic stack.
What you'll be doing:
Working closely with graphics hardware and driver teams through the product development life cycle of gaming servers, as well as contribute to game performance improvement efforts.
Responsible for profiling and debugging game engine inefficiency on our hardware and drive solutions to overcome those.
You will assess new hardware features that should be important for our upcoming releases and measure the impact on performance and power.
This job will require an understanding of our hardware and software architecture.
What we need to see:
BS or MS degree in one of the areas of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
10+ years proven experience in a related hardware/software position
Expert in one of the graphics APIs, preferably DX12 or Vulkan. Thorough understanding of graphics pipeline.
Strong C/C++ programming skills
Previous experience of working on a large system software code base is preferable
Very strong problem solving and debugging skills
Ability to self-manage, show leadership, and have good interpersonal skills
