The Role

As an AI engineer at Modal, you will be responsible for helping our users use Modal to build products and systems using cutting edge applied AI and ML models and techniques.

In this role you will:

• Build high-quality Modal examples using the latest models, frameworks and techniques

• Work closely with Modal’s customers to make them successful at using Modal for ML/AI projects in production

• Represent Modal at events and conferences

• Write blog posts that explain and clarify best practices, techniques and recent research

• Contribute to or creating open source projects that are adjacent to Modal

• Write and improving Modal documentation

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience writing high-quality production code

• Strong familiarity with programming in Python and Pytorch

• Experience working on applied ML/AI products in production

• Prior history with contributing to or launching open source projects

• Strong technical writing skills
