About the Role

We’re looking for a Design Engineer—a frontend engineer who thinks like a designer and builds like an engineer. You’ll join an early-stage team shaping the UX of a developer-focused platform, where usability and clarity are essential to adoption.

You’ll go from idea to prototype to production—sometimes starting in Figma, but often jumping straight into tools like V0.dev or Lovable to explore UI ideas in code. You won’t just implement designs—you’ll design through implementation, helping define what great looks and feels like.

What You’ll Do

  • Build beautiful, performant, and accessible UIs using modern tools (React/TypeScript preferred).

  • Rapidly prototype ideas with tools like V0.dev, Lovable, or just raw code—skipping mockups when needed.

  • Translate complexity into elegant interfaces that make technical workflows feel simple and fast.

  • Collaborate closely with founders, product, and engineers on product direction and design decisions.

  • Conduct user interviews and gather feedback to continuously improve UX for developer workflows.

  • Contribute to (and help shape) our design system and shared UI components from day one.

  • Sweat the details—from spacing and animation to API ergonomics and interaction feedback.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience building frontend applications, ideally in developer tools or technical products.

  • Deep design sensibility, with an eye for layout, interaction, and product ergonomics.

  • Comfortable switching between Figma and code—or skipping Figma entirely when prototyping directly.

  • Proficiency with modern frontend stack: React, TypeScript, Tailwind/CSS-in-JS, etc.

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted UI tools (e.g. V0.dev, Lovable, Cursor, or similar).

  • Obsession with user experience—not just what works, but what feels right.

  • Bonus: component library experience, open-source work.

Why This Role Is Unique

  • You won't just build features—you'll help invent them, shaping UX from concept to code.

  • You'll work with a team that cares about taste, speed, and impact.

  • You'll help define the product’s visual and interaction DNA—at a time when every detail counts.

  • You'll prototype in hours, not weeks, using the latest generation of AI + design tooling.
