About the role

Hex is looking for a part-time office coordinator to assist with day-to-day office operations in our Jackson Square office in San Francisco. This is a contract hourly position, approximately 20 hours weekly Monday - Thursday. This position will report to our Operations Lead.

Please note that this role requires the ability and interest to come into our SF office at least 4 days per week.

What you’ll do

  • Greet guests and create a welcoming and professional environment for colleagues, vendors, and guests
  • Maintain a clean and tidy office environment, ensuring that common areas, meeting rooms, and workspaces are well-kept
  • Monitor, manage, and replenish office inventory including but not limited to beverages, snacks, and office supplies
  • Admin and manage the existing lunch program Tuesday-Thursday, ensuring visiting colleagues and visitors receive a meal
  • Assist with special projects + team events on an as-needed basis

What you’ll bring

  • Prior experience in office management, administrative support, facilities, operations, customer service, or project coordination preferred, but not required
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues, vendors, and guests of all levels
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office, Slack, online ordering platforms
  • Ability to stand for up to 5 hrs a day and lift up to 25 pounds
  • A green thumb not required, though greatly appreciated.

About the role

This is a contractor role based in San Francisco, and we are targeting to onboard as soon as possible.

This role is paid hourly and we are looking for someone who can commit to at least ~20 hours per week for a minimum of at least 4 months. We will need you to proactively communicate about any time constraints and/ or other commitments that may hinder your ability to respond quickly during normal business hours. This contract will have the possibility of extension and/ or conversion to full time based on performance and/ or company hiring needs.
