(Senior to Principal) Solutions Engineer
Gretel
Who We Are
At Gretel, our mission is to build the world’s first developer platform for synthetic data. Gretel's APIs automatically fine-tune AI models to generate synthetic data on-demand while protecting privacy and maintaining the utility and accuracy of the original data. Our platform solves the data bottleneck problem for developers, data scientists, and AI/ML researchers across multiple modalities including tabular, time-series, relationship, language and image.
We’re a highly collaborative remote company with employees across the US & Canada. Our innovative and transparent culture offers employees the autonomy, tools, and trust to act like owners, and we're looking for a talented Senior Sales Engineer to join our mission!
The Impact You’ll Have
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you'll work side-by-side with our Account Executives to articulate Gretel’s mission and value, as well as to differentiate the platform throughout the sales process and drive proof of concepts (POC) from requirements gathering to close. The activities performed by a Sales Engineer are diverse - one day you might be assisting with a high-level pitch of Gretel to a technical executive, and the next day you might be working hands-on to develop a small but impactful POC.
You will play a critical role in driving the success of our sales efforts by combining your technical expertise, pre-sales experience, and data-focused background to support our customers in achieving their data privacy goals.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and objectives in detail.
Leverage your in-depth knowledge of Gretel's products to provide customized technical solutions that align with customers' requirements.

Proactively identify gaps in our product based on evaluating customer needs, and build solutions to address those gaps.
Act as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their data challenges and offering technical guidance and solutions that address their unique requirements.
Build custom prototypes and product demos that highlight end-to-end operationalized use cases in Gretel.
Be the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, Applied Science, Partnerships, and the customer.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in generative AI, data privacy, and cloud infrastructure. Lead discovery to understand prospect's ML and engineering stack to collaborate with the Sales team to construct a compelling value proposition of Gretel’s platform.
