Effective analytics and ML research and operations are key to our ability to bring research insights into production, combat new fraud types and MOs, and improve our decisions’ quality over time.
As the Group Manager for Analytics Platform, you’ll lead the group on its mission to be a force multiplier for analytics research and operations by providing an effective platform and self-service tools. The group works alongside data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams and provides them with capabilities to research new features and models, bring them to production, and ensure that they provide reliable performance over time.
As Forter’s offering variety grows, we must switch to a platform mindset - And take on the challenge of enabling teams across Forter to create and optimize research and ML capabilities for their domains.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing two Engineering teams and further extending and building the Analytics Platform Group
- Set the group's vision & strategy, yearly and quarterly plans
- On the group’s execution, making it a highly effective one, shipping impactful deliveries
- Design and build the research environment, workflows, and tooling to boost the effectiveness of Forter’s analysts and data scientists, acting as a force multiplier
- Own and drive GenAI initiatives and platform at Forter
- Wearing the Product hat and collaborating with and building a great customer experience for your users
- Own the mission-critical pipeline that trains Forter’s core decision models
- Mentor and guide managers and engineers in the group, managing their growth
- Manage large vendors and budget owned by the group
What you'll need:
- Proven track record of running highly effective teams with 7+ engineers
- Strong data engineering background, practical experience in distributed data processing (e.g. Spark/Dask) and data research environments (e.g. Databricks/notebooks)
- Passionate about user experience, can wear the Product hat when needed to
- Experience in working with public clouds (AWS / GCP / Azure)
- Excellent presentation skills - can talk and explain at the right level of abstraction to different audiences
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Strong Python skills
- Know how to drive complex projects with many stakeholders involved
- A deep understanding of how Machine Learning projects are brought to production and knowledge of MLOps tools and ecosystem
- Experience in working with data scientists and research analysts
