Sr. Product Manager
Databricks
You will be the Product Manager for PySpark. PySpark is the Python API for Apache Spark, the world’s most popular data and ML framework! The PySpark team works at the intersection of Open Source Spark and the Databricks Runtime. As the Product Manager of PySpark, you will develop a deep understanding of PySpark and gather requirements from customers. You will launch features and will engage with the Spark community and our Developer Relations team. You will impact how Open Source Spark users and Databricks customers process petabytes of data every day and make it simpler for them to draw value from their data.
This role requires coordinating all product activities from vision to implementation, including engaging customers to understand their needs, developing long-term product strategy, defining product roadmaps, working with engineering to build those products, and coordinating with various internal stakeholders (both pre- and post-launch) to ensure product success.
The impact you will have:
- Own the end-to-end product management process
- Gather customer requirements, design features and collaborate with engineering to deliver a polished market-ready product
- Drive launches with product marketing through blog posts, release notes, webinars
- Define and measure OKRs for your products
- Drive the prioritization and development of features, measurably making it simpler and more cost effective for customers to govern and process petabytes of data.
What we look for:
- 6+ yrs of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field
- Experience in Product Management (inbound, outbound, cross-functional processes)
- Developer empathy, e.g. worked in developer-facing products or similar
- Technical skills incl. Python
- Strong data analysis and operationalization skills (SQL & Python, rollups, building operational dashboards)

Pay Range Transparency

The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
