Proteins are the molecular machines of life, used for many therapeutic, diagnostic, chemical, agricultural and food applications. Designing and optimizing proteins takes a lot of expert knowledge and manual effort, through the use of custom computational and biological tools.
Machine learning is revolutionising this space, by enabling high-fidelity protein models. At Cradle, we offer a software platform for AI-guided discovery and optimization of proteins, so that biologists can design proteins faster and at scale. We are already used by clients across pharma, biotech, agritech, foodtech, and academia.
We're an experienced team of over 40 people. We've built many successful products before and have enough funding for multiple years of runway. We are distributed across two main locations, Zurich and Amsterdam, and are focused on building the best possible team culture.

As Office & Team Coordinator, you'll be the heart of our Zurich office and the spark for team events locally and globally, making work smooth and fun for everyone at Cradle. You'll own office operations, plan fantastic events, and handle key administrative tasks, all while partnering with different teams to nurture our company culture. Though preferably full-time, we welcome part-time applicants willing to commit to at least three days per week. Please also note that this role will be fully on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Office Management
Managing day-to-day operations of the Zurich office, including supplies, equipment, and facilities maintenance
Coordinating with the landlord, cleaning services, and other service providers
Processing incoming and outgoing mail and packages
Identifying and implementing improvements to office systems and processes
Supporting internal meetings and welcoming visitors to the office
Leading the upcoming office relocation project, including planning, furniture procurement, and move coordination
Event Management
Own planning and coordination of company offsites (at different locations in Europe)
Organizing team events, activities, and regular team meals
Coordinating cross-office communications and activities
Team Support
Managing company swag inventory
Supporting Cradle’s Operations team with administrative tasks in coordination with external payroll provider
Assisting with Finance Operations, including processing supplier invoices
Responding to and resolving employee queries
Maintaining organized documentation for all administrative processes
Must-Have Qualifications
3+ years of experience in office management, administrative coordination, or similar role.
Demonstrated organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Natural curiosity and enthusiasm for finding creative solutions before problems arise
Exceptional people skills with the ability to build rapport across cultures and connect with team members from diverse backgrounds
Experience planning and executing events
Fully fluent in English, both written and verbal
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Working proficiency in German and/or Dutch
Previous experience in a scaling startup or international company
Experience with administrative HR or finance tasks
Proficiency in Google Suite and project management tools
